I survived my marathon down Big Cottonwood in Salt Lake City. It was beautiful, and not as bad as my downhill run in Denver. My quads though still paid the price (like half price). I have some killer photos of my quads during the race. I’m working on my blog for that marathon now, and will include those pics in it. I can finally go down stairs without limping, and running better than an 11 min pace without tears.
Back to the grind to bring my time down to run Boston! I certainly did not make the 6:51 cut 😳 for the 2025 Boston marathon. I had just pushed into the next age group, but with the new qualifying times, I’m back to trying to get under 3:35:00. To be safe… I’m going to shoot for a 3:30:00. I just read about 70 year old Jeannie Rice and am so inspired by her. She’s running around a 3:30:00 time. If she can do it at 70… I can certainly do it in my 40’s 💪🏼
